For most of my adult life I just accepted that most jeans wouldn't fit right. I wore pants that were way too long, hoping they'd shrink enough to not look awkward, or I'd tuck them into boots and call it a day. I loved the days of skinny ankle jeans because now, I could find more jeans that actually fit!

I hung onto skinny jeans for way too long. After having my first child, I decided I wanted to feel a little less "frumpy mom" and a little more put together and worked with a personal stylist who helped me shop to my body better. She introduced me to jeans I genuinely loved (Madewell's Petite Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Jean being one), and more importantly, she taught me something that changed how I shop:

You have to know your measurements.

When I took shopping back into my own hands, jeans were still frustrating. Many styles didn't list measurements at all. Others would list them, but their idea of "mid-rise" was my ultra high rise. The numbers were a starting point, but even getting that info required me looking at so many different product pages of jeans that weren't even worth trying on.

So I built the tool I wished existed. I gathered measurement data from petite-friendly brands and created a way to search by your real numbers - not vanity sizing, not vague fit descriptions, but actual inches.
